Ted Ligety wearing Kiitellä’s gold medal after winning his 5th straight Giant Slalom at the 2014 Audi Birds of Prey World Cup in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Since 2014, Kiitellä has designed and hand-crafted gold, silver and bronze medals for the podium winners. They are made of jet-cut, satin-polished, patina’d thick brass and steel plate, with a clear finish—protected from the obvious elements of snowfall and Korbel Champagne.
