A few oldies! Mountainfilm in Telluride is where and when Issenberg’s love for custom award making was born—some time in the 90s… long before we called it “Kiitellä.” The festival director requested awards—without no direction given—just total faith. Issenberg’s love for mountains, photography, metalwork and film merged and so did a new life path. In 2005, the festival theme was Tibet. Steel prayer flags felt like a fun idea: five flags, each one hinging independently on the vertical strip. Hand-stamped and cast bronze tags reading “TELLURIDE MOUNTAINFILM 2005” are riveted on.
